2005 Saturn Vue - Saturn's Compact Sport Utility Vehicle

With many other car companies coming out with compact sport utility vehicles, Saturn was not going to be left behind. They came up with their own version, known as the Vue. This vehicle came into a very competitive field, as these types of vehicles began to become more and more popular with consumers. Consumers loved the idea of having an SUV that was smaller and easier on gas. Interested in one of your own? Well, you'll definitely want to consider the 2005 Saturn Vue if you are planning on purchasing one of these vehicles yourself.

Only a Few Changes for 2005

When it comes to the 2005 Saturn Vue, there weren't a whole lot of changes that were made on the vehicle for the 2005 year. However, there were a few smaller changes. OnStar is available in all of these vehicles, and there are side curtain airbags to protect your head that are available if you want them. You can choose to have satellite radio in the vehicle and another option consumers have is having a rear DVD entertainment system in the back as well. Front drive models and all wheel drive models are also available. On the four cylinder versions, ABS systems are only optional, but the V6 versions have the ABS system standard.

Other Competition with the Vue

With the popularity of compact sport utility vehicles, there is quite a bit of competition out there for the 2005 Saturn Vue. Some of the competition includes the Mercury Mariner, the Jeep Liberty, Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, Mazda Tribute, Subaru Forester, Honda Element, and the Hyudai Tucson. These types of SUVs are not as costly as larger ones and they get much better fuel economy as well, which is definitely a drawing point with consumers today.

A Top Scorer in Performance

You'll find that the 2005 Saturn Vue is definitely a top scorer when it comes to performance. While it only gets a mediocre score for the fuel economy, it definitely does great on acceleration and performance. This vehicle won't leave you high and dry when you need power out there on the road. So, if you do a lot of interstate driving where you need power for passing and merging, this is a great compact SUV to give some further consideration.

Excellent Comfort, Room, and Cargo Space

When it comes to comfort, room in the front and back, and the cargo space for the vehicle, you'll find that it also gets excellent scores as well. There is plenty of room in the front seat so the driver and front passenger are very comfortable. Unlike many of the more compact SUVs out there, it actually has quite a bit of room in the back seat as well. There is plenty of cargo space available as well, making it easy to carry luggage and other items in the back.
