3 Questions Asked About Canopy Parts
|
After many question sent me on how to find the best canopy parts, I decided I would post the answers here to help more people. 1. I have a ******** canopy tent and need to find parts, where do I look? Well, there are many ways to get those parts, but the first suggestion I always make is to try and locate and contact the original manufacturer. Usually, a canopy will have a tag that tells the manufacturer of the canopy tent. If you can contact that manufacturer, you can ask for suggestions from them on how to get those canopy parts. 2. Do I need to find a specific screw to fix my canopy, or will any screw do? You should never assume that any spare part will work. Most canopies are very specific with the canopy parts that they need. I suggest you first try to take the broken piece into the same place you got the canopy originally and see if they have a spare. If this is a no go, then you will need to hunt via the internet or contact the manufacturer directly. 3. I accidentally got a rip in my canopy, what should I do? First, I suggest you see if the manufacturer has any suggestions. Then, you can usually purchase a repair kit for your style of canopy. Obviously, some canopies are easier to repair than other. You will need to pay special attention to whether you need to do the repair while the canopy is tore down, or if it will work with it still in place. Finding the right canopy parts for your canopy is vitally important to the life of your canopy. Anything on the canopy can be replaced, but it is definitely easier to replace parts on the traditional canopies rather than the instant canopies.
