Although these chairs are very cheap and very durable, they are not recommended for any extended use. They offer minimal ergonomic features and no padding or support. Thus they become uncomfortable very quickly. Memory foamMemory form is fairly new and a welcome addition to the market. It creates the ultimate office chair. It's rather like having a chair with a brain. Memory foam is an open celled vicoelastic material that is built into the seat and back of the chair. It reacts to your body heat and weight to automatically contour itself to fit the curve of your body. It reduces pressure on the pressure points so it is able to provide comfort for long periods of time. It is an excellent choice for all office work. WoodenRemember the old wooden desk chair, nice and solid, usually built from quality wood such as oak. A beautiful piece of furniture they were, but there time has come and gone. Very seldom will you find a person working at a computer all day long seated in a wooden chair. They have nothing ergonomic to offer other than a solid back support. No padding, no adjustments, no lumbar support. These chairs make a nice addition to the conference room, but they are not recommended for daily office work. FabricFabric chairs are by far the most common type of chair seen in an office environment. With the exception of the low end poorly built ones, they are a good choice for the office offering plenty of ergonomic features such as adjustable height, tilt seating, lumbar support, and adjustable arm rests. What you need to watch for is the material type. Chose a natural fabric that breathes so that excess sweating does not occur. When purchasing office furniture it's easy to focus on style rather than functionality.
