The Tale of Despereaux is a wonderful story and an animated film. There is so much artistic detail and the scenes engage the whole audience for the entire movie.This movie is based off of a book that readers will enjoy just as much (maybe even better). The cast includes Dustin Hoffman, Emma Watson and Tracy Ullman among others. Despereaux is also the mouse who is the hero of the story.
To begin the movie, Roscuro, the rat gets into a little bit of mischief on soup day in the Kingdom of Dor. Because of this mischief rats and soup are both vanished. Then Despereaux comes into the film and he shows courage and bravery.
Despereaux is a bravo mouse who ends up meeting a princess and teams up with Roscuro to save her and the day (soup). There is a DVD release of this film that has a lot of extras for fans to enjoy. It goes deeper into the background and the story as well for those who haven't had the chance to read the book first.
