A Guide to the Annual Scottish Baby Show

The Annual Baby Show is held on the 12th-14th October at the NEC and acts as a one-stop shop for over 14,000 visitors comprising mostly of parents and parents-to-be. The show is a definite treat for all expecting mothers and fathers and it is a great platform for getting the best for their child. This is because the show is not just about showcasing baby related commodities but instead also focuses on imparting valuable information regarding pregnancy, birth and parenting to everyone there.

The Baby Show gives parents essential advice through its array of experts and companies in this field like The Baby Gurus, Yoga for Baby, Dr Titzer - early learning expert and Renideo Style Makeovers among others. The earlier show in Scotland also had the 'Ask the Midwives' section which helped anxious parents find answers to various queries ranging from pregnancy to birthing and early parenting.

Since the show is likely to be attended not only by parents but also by their children, the Annual Scottish Baby show will have a separate action packed 'Kids Fun Area' dedicated to keeping kids entertained with various activities sponsored by Gymboree, Jo Jingles, Tumble Tots and Stirrin Stuff among others.

For parents with toddlers, enjoying the show will not be a task as Happitots Day Nurseries organises a free crèche which is staffed by experienced and enthusiastic crèche nurses catering to children aged from 0 to 5 years. Another important facility provided by the show in consideration of the fact that most visitors would have children or babies with them, IKEA provides the necessary requirements for the changing and feeding areas, making visiting the show all the more convenient and hassle-free.

Since the show also brings together almost 150 leading specialist baby companies with a product profile ranging from car seats to childcare, prams to photography and maternity wear to nappies, it proves that such companies view it as an excellent avenue not only for attracting potential new customers and building relationships but also as a means of getting feedback from existing ones.

Needless to say, the show is a much awaited event thanks to the many marketing and PR campaigns which result in drawing an ideal customer oriented crowd. Past exhibitors have nothing but praise for the baby show since it has acted as a launch pad for many new goods and service providers, quality manufacturers and so on. The show has also helped to develop awareness about the new products of already existing service providers. Most importantly however, the show has helped both the established as well as the new companies build new networks, establish good customer relations by catering to customers face to face and create a demand through local and national retailers.
