A Guide to the Singapore Expo
|
One factor that makes the Singapore Expo stand above the other centres of its league is its one-stop concept. Visitors at the Singapore Expo are pampered with choice under one roof. Offering almost thirteen restaurants and bars in its 'Flavours East' section, the Expo makes available to both visitors and exhibitors a huge variety of cuisines to fulfil their appetites. Additionally, the centre also has shopping options for visitors to indulge in and a very sensibly located parking facility right outside the halls ensures convenience. The Singapore Expo offers flexible spaces in its ten convention and exhibition halls which provide almost 100,000 square metres of uninterrupted exhibit space which can be configured in terms of dimensions to the meet the requirements of the event. While six exhibition halls offer 10,000 square metres of contiguous space each, three other halls are designed such that they can offer an aggregate contiguous exhibit space of 40,000 square metres, making them ideal for trade events and exhibits that take place on a large scale. Included in these halls is the multi-purpose MAX Pavilion which is an event hall with auditorium style seating. The MAX Pavilion's design makes it ideal for conferences, congresses, concerts and other large scale meetings and seminars. With its high-technology sound systems, video systems and state-of-the-art lighting, the Max Pavilion is the perfect choice for huge music concerts. The Singapore Expo also has an open area of 10,000 square metres which can also be used as an exhibit space or for organizing other events. The expo's location in the heart of a booming business environment plays in its favour as exhibitors are assured of plentiful business prospects with many opportunities for the expansion of their networks. Not to mention, its prime location also makes it easily accessible by air via the Changi International Airport. The Epos has its own station, the Expo Mass Rapid Transit Station which is just one stop from the airport and can be reached in a short journey of approximately four minutes. Apart from the MRT Line, other transportation facilities include buses, taxis and cars. Similarly, accommodation is not an issue in Singapore which has plenty of hotels and guesthouses to serve exhibitors and visitors who can choose accommodation that meet their standards and budgets. Host to some very popular events, some much awaited upcoming events include the Travel Malaysia 2008 this October and the Automobile Roadshow in November.
