Many people would think that the life of a stay at home mom would be boring, however it has not been taken into consideration the many jobs of a stay at home mom. Put yourself in the shoes of a thirty-four year old woman with two young children, a dog and a 3 bedroom home. At six-o clock in the morning her day begins with cooking breakfast and getting the children and husbands clothes together for the day. She is also simultaneously making lunches and ironing clothes. The stay at home mom then has to wake the children, and sometimes the husband, up for the day and get them ready for school. She sends the husband out to work with a full stomach, a healthy lunch, and a clean, freshly pressed suit. One of the children are school aged and she gets him or her ready for school and send his or her off with lunch as well. The younger child stays at home with mom and is in the high chair watching her clean the kitchen from the morning rush of her family. After cleaning the kitchen the stay at home mom works with her younger child on motor skills. They read and color for about an hour and a half, and then the child watches their favorite educational show. While this is going on, the stay at home mom makes a little extra money by Internet secret shopping. She connects to the Internet and shops a variety of stores and completes a few surveys online. Then, she makes lunch for her younger child and after taking him or her to the park she puts him or her to bed. There are chores to be done around the house like cleaning and reorganizing the house. She then realizes that they may need a self storage unit to decrease the clutter in the house. That adds additional items on her to do list, and she calls numerous self storage facilities. She finds one that is clean, secure, climate controlled and down the road from her house. On the way to the grocery store, she visits the storage facility to look at the different sizes and purchase a unit. The stay at home mom does the grocery shopping for the week and proceeds to pick up her other child from school. After returning home, she makes dinner while concurrently helping her child with homework for the day. When her husband returns from a hard day at work she surprises him with his favorite food for dinner and the childrens favorite dessert. While at dinner the stay at home mom discusses her decision about getting a storage unit and tells the husband that he would need to put the additional items in the garage in the storage unit. Family time is the next item on her list, and they play board games after dinner. The stay at home mom puts the children to bed and cleans the mess from dinner and finally her day is done. The life of the stay at home mom story that has portrayed may have been slightly cheesy and stereotypical, but anyone that stays at home with a family has a busy schedule. Not only does a stay at home mom have to take care of a family, but also she has to take care of herself. A stay at home mom should make sure that she takes time out for herself. Being a stay at home mom is equated with having a full time job and if she does not take a few days off she would be extremely tired. Great job for stay at home moms!
