Acoustic Curtains Sound Drapes
|
Thermal curtains can be hung from soffits to provide a temporary barrier but they can also be mounted directly to the wall for reduced reverberation. They can also be hung by eyelets to a curtain rail. That means you certainly have a great deal of flexibility in using this product. They are made fro a lightweight fiberglass that are quilted and then sewn with stainless steel. This stops any slumping from occurring. They are then covered with your choice of fabrics. Each curtain side has Velcro attached so that you can fasten more than one curtain together. This ensures that you keep your acoustic integrity. If your curtain is going to be used as a thermal insulator the manufacturer usually covers it with a nylon fabric that is coated with a green PVC. Thermal drapes are found in the agriculture industry where the are used to break large spaces into smaller more useable compartments. It also means that the temperature of each compartment can be a different temperature. It means that fresh produce can be stored at its optimum temperature providing for the optimum storage and thus best life expectancy. In underground railways acoustic curtains are used to create a sound barrier so that the train noise or noise from construction work and repairs does not travel up the escalators, stairwells, and elevators as well as between walls for stores located above the subway. They can also help reduce the amount of dust and dirt that travels between different work spaces. Its an excellent way to keep different space free of debris from the other work space meaning you can mix and match what type of projects are occurring under one large space. If your building temperature ranges from 20 degrees Celsius to +30 degrees Celsius then you should choose a curtain that has the green PVC coating. If your building temperature ranges from 0 degrees Celsius to 200 degrees Celsius then you should use the curtain with the black glass cloth fabric. The glass fiber has a fire rating of Euroclass A1 which means it is non combustible. The black glass cloth meets all requirements for the reduction of the spread of flame. They are not rated for noise reduction because it depends a great deal on where they are placed as to how well the noise will be reduced. The size and fitting will also play an important role in the reduction of sound. The glass fiber is odorless, rot proof, and will not allow for the growth of mould, bacteria, or fungus. It is stable under a variety of conditions and it works well under just about any condition. Acoustic curtains are readily available online so no matter what type or size you need you should have no problem finding the right one for the job. Joanne is an author of Decorz.com.
