Aeromexico Flights: Use Mexican Airlines For Low-Cost Flights
|
Aeromexico (Mexico's biggest airline), Mexicana and Aviacso are the three major Mexican airlines. All these Mexican airlines provide a great service which still includes free drinks and meals on many of their flights. Nearly all flights have business as well as economy seats and you can often find their websites offering great deals on reasonably priced tickets. The airports that the Mexican airlines use are linked as in a hub system. This system is used in a number of countries very successfully. The main airport in Mexico is Mexico City Airport but other airports around the country are frequently used by Mexican airlines to enable passengers to be dispatched to their final destinations without undue delays. Mexican airline Aeroméxico, now has its own terminal at Mexico City airport. This is the only Mexican airline that flies to Asia direct. Thus avoiding the necessity for a American or Canadian visa. Aeroméxico has had an established route to Tokyo for some years but now fly from Mexico City to Shanghai and Seoul with only one stop at Tijuana for refueling. The aircraft currently in use by Aeroméxico are manufactured by Boeing and have an estimated age of around 8 to 9 years between them. Another important Mexican airline is Mexicana de Aviación which was established in 1921 and is one of the few airlines still in business after that length of time. Mexicana is a Mexican airline with frequent flights to America, Central America, South America and Canada. Mexicana is planning to develop routes to Asia and expects to have a number of flights available to the Far East by 2010. Included in the Mexicana group is Click Mexicana. This is a cheaper Mexican airline used for domestic flights. The aircraft currently in use by Mexicana are mainly manufactured by Airbus and have an estimated age of around 9 to 10 years between them. The third major Mexican airline is Aviacsa, which was established in 1990. It is generally thought of as a low-cost option but it still gives a good service including free drinks and meals as with the other major Mexican airlines. Aviacso also offers flights that have guaranteed connections for onward travel via the hub system. Special promotional deals are on offer on Tuesdays. This is the day to get the lowest priced tickets. Discounted tickets are also offered in the last couple days of every month to sell any still available seats on flights for the following weeks. The two main regional Mexican airlines currently operating in Mexico are Aeromexico Connect and Aeromar. Both these Mexican airlines target the business traveler for their custom. However, they do have discounted tickets on offer if there is late availability left on a flight. Both these Mexican airlines operate with aircraft smaller that the major Mexican airlines. Their business is mainly domestic connecting the smaller airports with main hub airports such as Mexico City and Cancun. The regional Mexican airline Aeromexico Connect was previously known as Aerolitoral. Aeromexico purchased Aerolitoral and changed the name to Aeromexico Connect. This Mexican airline is used for domestic and US flights for connection to Aeromexico's international scheduled flights. Aeromexico's website can be used to book tickets as well as on-line travel agents. Other booking agents can also purchase tickets for you. The jet aircraft currently being used by Aeromexico Connect are 190 and Embraer-145. The second regional Mexican airline is Aeromar, which although is an independently owned Mexican airline is linked to Aeromexico for most international flights. Aeromar has just one international flight, which is from San Luis Potosi to San Antonio. This Mexican airline enjoys its own designated area in the Terminal 2 building at Mexico Airport and can deliver luggage to its baggage claim area in an amazingly short time. Aircraft currently in use by the Mexican airline Aeromar are turbo-pro ATR42 planes producing a very high record of flights that arrive on time. The growth that has been seen in the low-cost option Mexican airlines has been acknowledged by both the major and regional Mexican airlines. Thus ensuring ticket price is kept at a reasonable level and new routes being developed and bid for. Check availability and price with the major Mexican airlines before looking at the low-cost option. You may be surprised. About The Author: |
