While you may think that this will save you money in the long run, you may want to think again. When you buy unfinished hardwood flooring they will not be finished by the time they are installed. If you were to purchase finished hardwood floors, once they were installed, you would not be looking at the chore of finishing them. Your floors would be ready for use, as soon as they were installed. However, purchasing unfinished hardwood flooring gives you the option to finish them yourselves. Not only can this be cheaper, but when you finish your hardwood floors yourself, you can choose any color that appeals to you. You might be one that wants a different color of stain, that you can not find when you purchase finished hardwood floors. Having the option of staining your floors any color that appeals to you, gives you more choices to choose from, and you will love your hardwood floors even more. So maybe you are not a person that wants to finish the floors yourself. Maybe you would find having to finish your unfinished hardwood floors more work than it is worth. You can also hire someone to finish your hardwood floors for you, while you sit back and watch, or go on vacation. There is no rule that says you have to do this job yourself.
