Always Tired Can Mean Many Things



You may have heard people use the phrase Im sick and tired of being sick and tired. The fact is that being always tired is usually a sign that there may be an illness involved. This can include anything from insomnia to depression or anemia to cancer. The point is that if you are always tired you should not just try to live with the condition but take action to find the reason and rectify the situation.

The problem of being always tired may be as simple as having a vitamin deficiency and many people, particularly as they advance in age find that taking a regular dose of multi-vitamins can make them feel more alert and increase their stamina. Also as people get older they tend to get less exercise and that can also lead to being lethargic and tiring easily when just doing simple household tasks. The solution is to get some moderate exercise at least a few days a week. Just walking for half an hour can be a remarkable effective method of increasing stamina. Swimming is another good exercise that many people find works for them. In other words, you dont have to necessarily go to the gym everyday and do extensive workouts in order to start feeling better.

However, since being always tired can be a symptom of something more serious it is important to make regular visits to the doctor to get checkups and to report any feelings of being overly tired. The doctor can have some simple blood tests performed to find out if you have become anemic or have some other underlying problem. Most of the time anemia or other similar problems can be easily cured if detected early enough. Sometimes just taking iron tablets or other vitamins can have an immediate impact.

If anemia or something similar is not the problem then the doctor can order other tests to find out if there is a more serious disease involved. These days even many of the most serious illnesses such as cancer or heart disease can be effectively treated and often cured if they are detected early enough. The bottom line is that you must take care of yourself in order to live a longer and happier life. If you are always tired it is up to you to find out why and take the necessary steps to return to robust health for your own sake and that of your loved ones.
