An Introduction To An All Time Blossoming Azalea Jolie Madame



Azalea and rhododendrons can be your flowering plants for the seasons of winter, summer, spring, and fall. While in winters, the leaves appear large, whereas they tend to reflect a deep green hue in summers. To add to your gardening pleasures, you can choose from a wide variety of azalea and rhododendrons species, such as

• Deciduous azaleas: are fast growing plants available in yellow and orange.
• Evergreen azaleas: ideally suited to any garden size, they also serve as popular choices for walls cascading.
• Dwarf rhododendrons: Is the alpine varieties, and they essentially blossom in the month of April.

One of the more popular varieties, these days, is the azalea jolie madame, which essentially belongs to the deciduous azalea category of flowering plants. Azalea jolie madame flowers in the month of May and June. It does not have a characteristic scent and achieves a height of up to 175 cm in just a span of 10 years. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, and pink in color. This variety of deciduous azalea grows to a height of up to 2 meters. It is advisable to grow it in insulated areas with moist soil. Its leaves may become fungus-infected, as they face temporary dryness during summer time. You must therefore use an appropriate fungicide during such dry spells of weather. The preferred growing conditions for azalea jolie madame may include:

• early morning sunlight,
• protection from frost, and
• Humus soil, acidic in nature.

Cold hardiness is a term that is used to refer to a plant's ability to tolerate subzero temperatures. The deciduous breed of azaleas turns out to be quite cold hardy. . Let us have a sneak peek in to some of the varieties of deciduous azalea:

• Exbury hybrids: They are available in various shades of pastel, and are quite resistant to below zero temperatures.
• Northern Lights: They are compact and can attain a maximum height of up to 6 feet. They are known to survive extreme temperatures even in the subzero range.
• Mollis: These hybrids are available in a range of yellow, orange, and red hues.
• Ghent: These hybrids are available in a range of hues. Exbury hybrids are an improved form of the Ghent hybrids.

Deciduous azalea displays a range of brilliant yellow and orange colored flowers. It comes in a wide range of flower sizes and hues, and tends to grow very fast. It reaches a height of up to 150 cm in a mere span of 10 years.
