SEO process begins from choosing your domain name for your website. It depends on the product or the services which you offer in your website. If the domain name is keyword related then its considered as good option because keyword rich domains gets easily promoted in the search engines and it is easier to find the alternate and supports keywords for this type of domain. In case a service or business is to be promoted in a region then domain can be selected on the basis of region. Suppose a loan website is to be promoted in UK then domain could be with the extension of uk.

Design SEO friendly website

Design a website which complies with web accessibility standards. Make it W3C compliant html compliant and CSS compliant, There should be no use of frames within the website. Minimize the use of flash content. Use anchor text for images and hyperlinks. Make user friendly site navigation. Make html and xml sitemaps. Keep keyword oriented file names. Give relevant and unique title to each page.

Content

Put unique content in website it is must to have good search engine rankings. Search engines gives preference to the fresh content. Content must be keyword rich and quality oriented. Quantity of content doesn’t matter rather than the quality.

Link development

There are two ways of link development one way and reciprocal. In reciprocal you find the site which seems relevant and match with and you send a link exchange request to them. This is reciprocal link exchange. By link building process you can exchange link with quality websites.

Off page optimization

Write articles for your website and submit it in quality article directories. Submit site in quality directories. Do forum postings giving your website link in signature? Write bogs for your website.

Also take account of visitors and check visitor’s status from time to time.
