Are Banks Really Safe?
|
I called the bank and asked for an explanation – initially they tried to tell me it is my fault that I tried to close an account holding money. When I insisted that I hadn’t asked for the closure of the account I was asked to visit the bank. After several visits and phone calls to the bank was I able to get to talk to the manager of the bank. I decided to visit the bank to add emphasis to my situation. That I discovered another shocking truth; that the largest investment bank in the country and misplaced my account mandates, therefore all the forms had to be refilled to reopen the account. Then I was expected to wait for a week for the account to reopen. I told the Bank Manager that I could not wait for a week! And I wanted my money accessible today, as two weeks had already passed by and I needed my money. I asked him to guide me through the complaint procedure, wrote letters to the court of law and the ombudsman. That day was exhausting but my account was released for my use in two hours. I received my debit card in two days and the credit card is yet to be renewed. What I still do not know is if it was a human error or a computer glitch? I do know this that it brought my life to standstill for that fortnight. About The Author: Share your bad customer service experiences and read other customer complaints |
