Are Ionic Foot Baths A Scam?

Many people swear by ionic foot baths as a way to detox your body. I was very interested myself and was fortunate enough to receive a session.

What are they?

Well, they look a lot like one of those foot baths you can purchase where you put your feet in and turn it on and it massages your feet through the liquid. The ionic bath is where the bowl is filled with water and a ionic unit called an array is also placed in the water and this charges the water with negative ions. After 20-30 minutes of gradually changes from clear to, in most cases, dark green or brown with flecks in it. the liquid gradually turning color - from clear to dark and murky!Remove your feet and towel them dry and then you can pour out the liquid. That's it.

The Good News

The ionic foot spa is a detox system using water and aqua ions for a total bio energy detox. This method allows you to detox your body in a very simple fashion. As you can observe from the color of the liquid, this system gets rid of waste matter in your body in minutes. The explanation for this is that the unit produces a negative ion situation - just imagine walking along a pretty stretch of seashore. Toxins and excess waste are literally soaked out of your body gently and easily. This is recommended by lots of health care professionals. So you can go ahead and buy a foot bath for yourself at home, or you can visit a therapy centre and have the treatment done there.

The Not So Good News

There is a lot of controversy about this procedure. There is a lot of controversy about this procedure. Some persons maintain that even without feet immersed in the water, it will change color. I have actually used this at home myself and have also tried putting the array in the water without my feet and the water didn't change at all. However, when I immersed my feet, it did indeed change color. Also, I was lucky enough to have the treatment performed at a trade show, so I could see the liquid turning assorted shades with different people. This appeared quite logical to me as everyone is unique and has unique issues.

I believe you should do research on the internet and talk with people at places like spas and health clinics to make up your own mind.
