BOWLING: Bowling Equipment
|
Becoming a consistent bowler may require using the same equipment consistently. Owning your own shoes, attire, and bowling ball will allow you to be more familiar with the sport rather then the equipment. Getting used to one ball is much better then fumbling with different polyester balls looking for a good finger feel. A pair of bowling shoes range from approximately 20 60 dollars and can make a big difference. Personal shoes will allow for a sturdier stance and for safe comfort. If you are an individual who bowls for fun and entertainment I would not recommend purchasing a personal bowling ball or shoes. Before paying for a lane, try to find one or two balls that are fitted for your fingers. The holes should not to tight and you should have some room to at least move your fingers. Hold the ball and slip in your fingers, if you can hold the ball comfortably hang on to this ball. It is easier to bowl using the same type of ball. Using different weights and holds one after another will throw off your game for sure. As you begin your game, notice the ball placement and where it ends up. There is no perfect stance to bowl in as everybody is different. The only way to improve your throw or delivery is through trail and error. If you feel the ball curving one way start from the other side, it is as easy as that. You should try to focus on your movements and how they affect the balls placement, speed, and final destination.
