Baby Shower Corsages: Useful Tips

Baby showers are great opportunities to celebrate new life. But in the havoc created about the baby's coming, many times the mommy is forgotten. You can change that for your friends that are about to have a baby with a special gift: create a corsage and give it to them. We will help you with some useful tips on baby shower corsages.

If it is a boy, you may want to choose blue, and pink, if it is a girl. But sometimes, you can choose the mother's favorite color as the color for the corsage. If you do not know what to choose, pick ivory, as it is a neutral color, that will feet with any other colors the mommy may be wearing.

For a mother that is more inclined towards elegance, and, if the baby shower takes place in a fancy environment, pick a formal design for the corsage; if the mother is more down to earth and funny, go for an informal design.

You will need to decorate the corsage with some flowers, be them made of silk, or fresh from the florist's. You will need some scissors, some wire, some tape, a thin fabric ribbon, some glue, pins and a wristlet. As flowers, we suggest orchids, carnations, and roses.

Here is how to put together the decoration: cut each flower stem to three or four inches, then put wire through each of them, bending it into a hairpin. Take care to roll out any excess of wire. Each stem is then wrapped in floral tape and then brought together. Use the thin fabric ribbon to decorate the stems. A flower bundle can be attached to the wristlet with gluing silks or by twisting the attached loop around each stem.

We suggest to use these ideas for an informal corsage:

The Easy Baby Socks Corsage can be made out of two pairs of baby socks; you must use scissors, some floral wire, a little bit of ribbon, tulle and diaper pins.

The socks must be brought together, making them facing the same direction. Then, they must be bundled with wire, at one third from the toes. The tulle goes around the toe area of the socks. With the ribbon you must tie the tulle around the toes, on the wire, being careful to leave some ribbon tails. This corsage can be attached to the lapel with diaper pins.

For the Even Easier Baby Shower Corsage, you can use three traditional items that are used for babies. Some rattles, teething rings or even small animals really came in handy. Ensure that you have enough lace, ribbon, glue, and diaper pins.

With the hot glue gun, the baby items are to be trimmed with lace, then they are to be put together with ribbon and glue. The diaper pins are used to attach the back of the corsage to a stuffed animal.

But for the Easiest Baby Shower Corsage Ever, you will need some large bow, pacifiers, curling ribbon and a diaper pin.

With the curling ribbon, you need to tie the pacifiers into the bow, making sure that they hang a little. The design is completed with pieces of ribbon, and the diaper pin is used for attaching this to the mother's lapel.
