Beach Italian Restautrants and Seafood

There is nothing more romantic that a quiet dinner at a beach Italian restaurant. There's just nothing more serene and calm than the gentle breeze caressing and the sound of the waves crashing. The soft ocean breeze caressing your skin as you sit across that special someone, well that is just as good as it gets. And there is nothing more scrumptious than an Italian seafood dinner. Having a seaside dinner is just amazing; you do not only feel in love, you also get to eat really good food. That kind of date is one that you're sure to remember.

Bordered by the Adriatic Sea, Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea, Italy has one long coastline. Italy is even made up of other islands that are also one of the largest in the entire Mediterranean Sea. Number of tourists even flock Italy for its pristine beaches. Italy has a warm and sunny climate all year round which is why its beaches are pristine and clear for tourists to enjoy. And also because of its strategic location, fishing is a prime industry even during the olden times. This has created a significant impact in Italy's cuisine and its people are noted to be huge patrons of seafood. As the entire world seek for authentic Italian dishes, a number of original seafood dishes have also been reflected in ristorantes and trattorias all over the world.

Italian seafood dishes are becoming more and more popular. To start off your meal you can always order a salmone scottaditto which is an antipasto which consists of a cut of seared salmon with aioli and a fried leeks sidedish. Meaning burn finger, scottaditto is a traditional Italian dish that is to be eaten as a finger food. The sauce used to flavor this dish, aioli, is made by mixing garlic, olive oil and egg together. The dish is a dish of balance with the fresh taste of the salmon and that of the fried leeks pitted together with the aioli sauce.

Another crowd pleaser is the gamberi alla Toscana or sauted shrimp with beans and arugula salad. This dish has that signature Italian balance with the white kidney beans tasting creamy and light with the mild peppery flavor of the arugula salad being tied all together by the succulent shirmps.

A perfect main dish would be speghettini in mixed seafood tied together by tomato sauce or the spaghettini ai frutti di mare. The tomato sauce mentioned in the dish is the traditional yet simple Italian sauce which is chopped fresh tomatoes cooked in olive oil and flavored with salt. During the actual cooking of the dish, the entire thing can be optionally seasoned with some very Italian herbs like the woodsy oregano or basil and parsley. Once you taste the dish you will surely be pleased with all the flavors being married to each other; the rich taste of the tomato sauce with the seafood and the subtle taste of the pasta as well. A beach trip is never complete without this dish.
