Beatles Rare Images Go Up For Sale

The pics show John, Paul, George & Ringo in a relaxed mood. The pics include the hotel owner standing with John, Paul, George & Ringo, John Lennon toying with a camera and the four mates in a car. The hotel owner later gave the pics to her friend. The daughter of the friend is now putting the pictures on the auction block. The hotel owner's daughter, who wishes to be unnamed, recollects her mother being particularly thrilled one day. Her hotel-owner friend arrived to let her know that the Fab Four were going to be her hotel guests. Even though it was to be kept quite, she recalls her mother arriving home with the pics. At the time of The Liverpool Lad's visit, the daughter was a young girl and a massive Beatles fan. Amy Brenan, from Duke's auctioneers in Dorchester notes that the pics are candid pics and not posed up like so many that you see. They are in their suits and they appear at ease posing with the hotel owner. The auctioneer estimates the pics were taken in the mid-60s, presumably in '66 because that's the time when the group performed in Bournemouth England along the coast and went down into Devon. All 6 pics, two of which are duplicated, capture the John, Paul, George & Ringo in the spirit of the moment. She adds that the hotel owner is now gone so we can't ask her exactly when snapshots were taken. Beatle souvenirs have never been more popular and though the auction house put a rough figure of thirty to sixty English pounds on the photographs, they're sure they'll go for even more. Other Beatles memorabilia already auctioned off by Duke's Grove Auction House are a complete set of autographs on the reverse side of a birth certificate signed by the bandmembers during the filming of Help! On Salisbury Plain. The Beatles pics auction will be held at Duke's Grove Auctions on August eleventh in Dorchester England.
