Ben 10 Game Shopping – 3 Mistakes To Avoid

Once your Ben 10 fan has the essential Ben 10 Omnitrix watch and a selection of alien figures to mess about with, a Ben 10 game will make a nice little addition to their collection. Ben 10 games are hugely popular and as such you can find a huge range to choose from. As with any range of games, some will be good and some will be a five minute wonder at best. In this article I will cover some of the mistakes to avoid when choosing which ones to buy.

1. Choosing the wrong video game

There are two Ben 10 video games to choose from – one relating to each series of this popular cartoon series. If your child prefers the aliens from the original series, such as Four Arms and Heatblast, stick with the Protector of Earth game. If, however, they are more into Humungousaur and Jetray, you will want to go with the Alien Force version. Both offer a great beat up the baddies experience and allow the player to transform into one of a few of their favourite aliens. The graphics is good and the games are easy enough to play from 5 years old. They both offer cool features of being able to add and remove a second Ben player at any time during the game along with starting from where you lose all your lives to avoid having to go back to the beginning all the time.

2. Don’t miss out on the action games

There are three great action games that you do not want to miss considering in your purchase decision. If you are after a game to give your little one some exercise whilst enjoying some Ben 10 fun, the Laser Set is for you. It comprises two chunky guns that fire laser shots. If one player hits the other, the shot is recorded on their gun via an infrared sensor. The first to 8 hits is the winner. This game will keep children running around, hiding from each other for ages. For a more contained but fun action game, the Quickshot game is worth a look. This is a type of board game, but each player shoots marbles across the board from their shooter, trying to knock down their opponents playing pieces. It is all about rapid firing and is highly addictive.

3. Don’t choose a board game over a card game

There are three popular card games but people seem to prefer to buy three board type games instead. This is a mistake as these board games, namely the Total Transformation game, the DVD game and the Aliens v Villains game, are boring and repetitive. The card games, being Top Trumps, the Omnitrix Duel For Power card game and the Ben 10 Trading Card Game, make a much better choice. Top Trumps, with its attractive artwork featuring all of the favourite Ben 10 characters offers hours of fun and is very portable. The Omnitrix game is kind of a battling card game as is the Trading Card Game. With the latter, you need the starter deck to get you going.

So do not just go off on a wild goose chase thinking any Ben 10 game will cut the mustard. Use the mistakes made by other Ben 10 parents to your advantage. Learn from their mistakes and spend your money more wisely.
