Best Episodes of Supernatural Season 3

The CW's TV series,Supernatural, is in its fourth season.  And the storyline is leading toan all out war with demons.  But the Winchester brothers may, yet, still succeed in stopping the forces looking to free Lucifer.

The pending war with the demons, however, began taking shape in theprevious season, Season 3.  Apparently, Sam was the chosen one to leada demon army.  Against whom was not made clear.  Also, Season 3introduced two recurring characters, the conniving Bela played byLauren Cohen and the mysterious Ruby played by Katie Cassidy.

The following is my handpicked list of the most memorable episodes for Season 3.  The list is in the order of episode shown:

SinCity. Episode 4.  This episode was memorable because of Dean'sconversation with a demon-possessed woman played by Sasha Barrese asthey were both trapped in the basement of an abandoned house.  Sherevealed a bit more about Sam's role in the upcoming war.  Andeventually, the two came to some form of understanding towards the endbecause she didn't want her demon boyfriend to kill Dean.  And Deandidn't want Sam to kill the demons.  It's also nice to see an everlasting romance between two creatures from the netherworld.

FreshBlood. Episode 7.  Vampires.  I love vampires.  In the world ofSupernatural, vampires are minor creatures of hell.  Nevertheless, thisepisode was memorable because it was dark even for Supernatural.  Samkilled a vamped out Gordon, a formidable hunter in his own right.  Evenmore remarkable, Sam did it with his barehands by ripping Gordon's headoff.  Another memorable part of this episode is a vampire's lamentationfor a family.  The vampire was Dixon played by Matthews Humphrey.

AVery Supernatural Christmas. Episode 8.  This was a great episodebecause of the flashback when the young Winchesters shared one of theirChristmas.  The episode really drove in Dean's love for his brother.

Mystery Spot. Episode 11.  The take on Groundhog Dayhit me from left field.  Dean rocking out to Asia's Heat of the Momentwas hilarious.  But just as we saw how Dean loved Sam in A VerySupernatural Christmas, we saw in this episode how Sam loved Dean.  Hewas really furious at how he lost his brother.  And a subsequent scenein a motel room with Sam clenching his jaw as he prepared for a huntwas scary.

Jus in Bello. Episode 12.  Another episode that tookon a movie.  This episode took place in a police station.  Hence itfelt like Assault on Precinct 13.  The brothers, along with thesurviving employees of the police station, had to fight their way outfrom a demon siege.  We first felt the true power of Lilith in thisepisode.  And I was pulling for Agent Henricksen played by CharlesMalik Whitfield.

Ghostfacers. Episode 13.  The mockery ofreality TV made this episode memorable.  The bleeps as Sam and Deanreluctantly worked with the Ghostfacers were funny.  For all the goofyscenes, the episode was actually creepy.
