Better Golf Swing - Coaching or Video?

If there is one thing that all golfers have in common, it's that they all want to improve their game. One of the things that they are constantly working on is how to have a better golf swing. If you're a golfer and you want to find a way to improve your swing, you have some options. You can hire a golfing coach who can spend some time with you to help you improve your game, you could ask a friend who is a better golfer to work with you, you could buy a manual, or you could buy some video that is made to help you have a better golf swing. Of these choices, the coaching and video are probably the best ones.

There are a lot of advantages to having an actual live golf coach help you to get a better golf swing. As you practice, you have someone right there to correct you if you need it or to tell you if you are on the right track. This type of feedback is important when you really want to improve your game. But unless you have talked a friend or family member into coaching you for free, then the coaching is going to cost you quite a bit. For this reason, many people turn to videos to help them have a better golf swing.

Using video to help you have a better golf swing can work, but unless you have a television and DVD player outside, you're going to have to watch the video inside of a building. This limits you in a way, although you are still able to swing along with the video. You can stop and start the video as you need to, and you can play parts over again if you want to. This can actually work well, although to practice what you have learned you have to leave the video and go somewhere where you can really take a swing at a golf ball.

Sometimes choosing how to get a better golf swing simply comes down to what time you can spare and what you can afford. Coaches are great but an extravagance most people can't really justify; unless they are going to be competing professionally. Video is good as long as you stay with the program and practice what you've learned. Often just practice itself can help you to improve your golf swing, although a coach or video can help you to start out right.
