Black Christmas Tree- A New Trend
|
Where the Trend Began So, you may be wondering, where did the trend of having a black Christmas tree actually begin? After all, it does sound a bit strange. Most people are used to only having a green Christmas tree, although there have been a few white ones along the way. Well, this trend actually was first started back in the United Kingdom and dates back to 2005. Since then the trend has moved to the United States as well, and many people are beginning to decide to go with one of these black trees for the Christmas season. A Chic Alternative Although the trend of the black Christmas tree did start out in the UK, today it has become a chic alternative in the US to having a regular green Christmas tree. The reason it got started is because people who had their homes done in black and white wanted to have something that would look chic along with the rest of their décor. If you do have a home that is done in black and whites, you'll definitely find that a Christmas tree in black will give a great look, especially when decorated up with white decorations. The Price You'll Pay Of course the price is probably something you are concerned about as well. You'll actually find that the price of a nice black Christmas tree is definitely going to vary. It will vary, depending on the size of the tree, where you purchase it, and the quality of the tree. Usually you can expect to pay anywhere from $75 on the low end, all the way up to $600 on the high end. Most of the time, they come with fake snow on them and are already pre lit, which definitely makes decorating easy for you. Often Used for Halloween Too While many people are starting to put up their own black Christmas tree for Christmas time, some people are using these black trees to decorate for Halloween as well. In fact, some of them even come with orange lights so that they can be used as a decoration for the Halloween season. So, if you enjoy decorating up for Halloween, you may want to consider one of these trees for a great look. About The Author: |
