Blackhead Remover – Do You Really Want To Do This?

Almost everybody has trouble with blackheads. The sebum made by your glands beneath the skin clogs up your pores, causing black little spots on your skin. The nastiest thing about blackheads is that they still annoy you, even if you no longer have an acne problem. You may be tempted to remove them but, before you do it, think if it is really worth the trouble.

There is a big difference between blackheads and pimples. Usually, blackheads tend to resist more to cleansers or other cosmetic products made for skin care. Think about this. All your skin surface has pores and especially on the face, blackheads appear almost in every pore, on the nose, on the chin, on the forehead! This means that you have a really long battle ahead of you if you want to remove every little blackhead from your skin. This kind of operation seems really tedious and frustrating.

First, consider this: everybody has blackheads! Yes, even the celebrities you see on TV. It is the same thing as with cellulite, everybody tries to hide it, but all have it. You may use cosmetic products, like cleansers to reduce their number, but you will never get rid of all of them. Plus, they are not so visible as you may think, most of them are even impossible to see and they are not so nasty and ugly as pimples are.

There are people who are so determined to get rid of blackheads that they end up doing more damage than good. By squeezing them all the time, the pores get infected, oil is clogging them even worse and eventually, what was only an almost invisible blackhead becomes a huge, ugly pimple. You can even get to seriously damage your skin, leaving it with little scars.

If you are still convinced that you must do something to remove the blackheads from your skin, you can use a proper blackhead remover. Such products are useful as they minimize their appearance. You can also use steam to open up the pores and afterwards, squeeze gently the blackheads, but do not ever force a blackhead out, as it will only irritate and infect your skin.

You may improve the look of your skin by blackhead removal, but it is advisable to use only the best blackhead removers and leave aside any squeezing as you will only get to damage your skin, making it full of scars and pimples. It is better to use some good quality cleanser and a mask or a scrub once or twice a week. Of course, there will still be some stubborn blackheads that will remain, but it is not worth to force them out of your skin as this will only lead to damage.
