Building One of Todays New Above Ground Pools – Is it As Easy As They Say

Who doesn't like to save money on any type of installation costs when it comes to home improvements? However; who among us hasn't heard the stores of “do-it-yourself” jobs that have exploded into nightmares all over the floor of someones garage, home or backyard. The last thing that a person needs, is to buy something that its manufacturers claim they can build and install themselves and have it turn out that they need an engineering degree to actually do it.

A Two Person Job

Still yet, is the problem of manpower. Its one thing to get a neighbor or an in law over to help out for a few days, but try to get four or five able bodied individuals over to spend three days building an above ground pool in a backyard. The truth is that todays above ground pools do require one extra set of hands to build and that is it. One person to hold, while the other person drives in the screws.

Excavating the Deep End

The only time that you can be expected to bring in other outside help, is if the pool that you are installing has a deep end. In that case, the deep end will have to be excavated prior building the pool. This will require the work of a backhoe, which you can hire someone to do. The other option is to rent a backhoe from a rental yard and operate it your self. If this is the case, it is advised that you keep any kids at least one mile away while you are doing the digging.

This means no cutting, or trips to any shop to have any custom work done so anything will fit properly.
