As salaries increased, benefits got better, our homes became more valuable and many workers with job-security stopped their continuing education. Then as quickly as the foreclosure crisis began, banks quickly began closing and many companies lost their funding and due to that, oodles of workers were left jobless and put on the unemployment lines. Then as these people went out in search of new employment, they quickly understood that not only were they competing with their old co-workers, but also with the recent college graduates who had a whole new set of job skills that many job-seekers who'd been out school for a while, flat out didn't have! A few of the Web 2.0 sites are Google Video, Viddler and YouTube and let's not forget the constantly influential Social Bookmark sites like Digg and Reddit, just to name a few. I mention these, because if you don't know what they are, it's more than like from a lack of ongoing Business Training in the field of internet marketing. Now I know you may not all be network marketers or directly in online marketing but, sharpening your skills and increasing your marketing training will only make you MORE valuable in your next career. And if you are planning to be your own boss, it's VITAL that you learn to brand yourself and master attraction marketing that is so essential to your ability to attract like minded business people with who to prosper online. Day in and day out, I see people to online business, pushing products first on company replicated websites and behaving like a pushy salesperson, but it's not their fault - most of the time, they just haven't been introduced to a step-by-step system that teaches them how to market them first, put money in their pocket as they go and smoothly introduce prospects into their business opportunity - And this is only AFTER you have given value first.! It's like grandma used to tell me "Don't ask a girl to get married if you've not even been on a first date ! She'll think you're crazy and say no!" And business and business partners are the same way. First, provide value, then build the relationship and if all that goes well, then share your business opportunity when it feels like a good idea for both of you.
