Chair Beds A Solution for Small Spaces
|
When you live in a place where space is limited, such as in a studio apartment, it can often be very useful to find one piece of furniture that can be used in two different ways. To be able to have a nice chair in your apartment all day that you or other people can sit on comfortably and then be able to turn it into your bed at night is a real plus when you have very little room to work with. Though you might think that a bed that doubles as a chair would be too small to sleep on comfortably, this is rarely the case. Most chair beds are wide, and fold out or convert into a comfortable twin sized bed. What kinds of chair beds are there to choose from? There are probably as many types as there are companies that sell them. Most people choose between a couple types of proven favorites, though. The first type is the standard overstuffed chair that pulls out into a bed. With this kind, the chair is very comfortable in its own right, due to the fact that it is very padded. This makes it more comfortable when it converts into a bed. With these types of chairs, you can choose from many styles, colors, and upholstery. Other popular chair beds are the futon types. Futons mattresses have become extremely popular within the last twenty years or so, and these days you can find futon furniture in many different styles. The futon mattress generally comes in one piece, and sits over or within a frame made especially to hold it. As chair and a bed, it usually doesnt pull out in the same way that an easy chair type bed would do. Instead, it folds down quite easily. The mattress isnt hidden at allit just goes from being propped up on a chair frame to lying prone on a bed frame. The frame itself has a lever that lets it fold up and lie down. This can be a metal frame or a wooden frame, depending on your preference. About The Author: Balva Rudick is the Editor and Publisher of Article Click.
