Chalean Extreme is your best economic choice

Chew your food before you swallow!

When I was a kid my mom always told me to chew my food before I swallowed. Now that might sound ridiculous, why wouldn't I chew my food? Well as a kid I was pretty active, running around all the time, playing sports, build forts in the backyard, I would work up an appetite. When my mom would call me in for lunch, I would be so hungry that I would pretty much swallow my food whole, so my mom would say, “chew before you swallow." I am pretty sure the reason my mom told me that was because she did not want me to choke on my food and die, but she might of unlocked a weight loss secret.

Recent studies from the Oita Medical School of Japan found that there is a direct collation between chewing speed and the release of histamines from the brain. Okay, so what does that mean? Basically chewing your food more and slower will allow time for your brain to release histamines, which will result in a food intake decrease. A lot of times we stuff ourselves and then 20 minutes after we eat, we finally feel over stuffed. That is because the hormones from our brain finally caught up to the fact that you just ate a heck of a lot of food. By chewing longer and eating slower it will allow time for your brain to tell you that you are full, resulting in less food intake and more weight loss.

Chewing your food longer is not only great for your brain to catch up; it is also great for your digestive system. Digesting your food begins with how you eat your food, our saliva contains enzymes that help break down your food, so your body can absorb the nutrients from the food and digest it easier. Many people, who deal with weight issues, deal with digestive issues too. The longer you chew, allows the food to be fully covered with the enzymes that break down the food so your body can work at its full speed. Now this does not mean you can go out and eat unhealthy food and chew it for a long time and be fine. You still need to eat healthy; in fact you will get more out of your healthy foods if you chew them longer. You do not want food to sit down in your stomach for a long time even if it is healthy, so do your stomach your digestive system and your weight a break, and chew your food.
