Seek Alternative Airports If you are headed for a major metropolitan area for your trip, then many times you can secure cheap airfares by searching for all of the flights that go into the smaller, neighboring airports. These smaller airports are often closer to the attractions or neighborhoods you might be headed to and they are usually much less busy, so things like security checks go faster. By flying into these smaller airdromes, you not only have a better chance of finding a discount airfare, but you will most likely have a more relaxed trip by avoiding some of the hubbub of the bigger landing fields.
