Choosing Beach Chairs For Your Lifestyle

Sure there's nothing that says you have to have a chair for the beach but haven't you outgrown sprawling on a beach towel on the grass? Wouldn't you be more comfy in a chair? How about choosing some beach chairs for your lifestyle?

In fact why settle for just one chair? Why not invest in at least a set of four. Relaxing in a beach chair is a great way to enjoy a warm summers day whether you are looking for some summer rays or a just want to enjoy the warm summer's breeze in the shade.

After all your beach chair doesn't just need to be used at the beach. These folding chairs are as versatile as it gets. Use them at the beach, at the pool, on picnics, in the backyard, at the ball game, at a drive in movie, take them to the park, take them fishing, or bring them along to the next outdoor concert.

Of course that's just a short list of how you can use them. There are certainly plenty of other options if you think about it. In fact you probably won't realize all your options until you have your chair. Suddenly every time you turn around you'll be discovering a new use for it.

You'll need to decide whether you want a low boy or a high boy so let's tell you what the differences are so you are prepared when you go shopping.

The low Boy is often referred to as a sand chair because it sits around six inches from the ground. Many styles recline which is why these chairs are perfect for lounging near the water and soaking your feet. They are however not a great choice for anyone that has mobility issues, is older, or has difficulty getting out of a regular style chair.

The high Boy resembles a standard lawn chair being about eighteen inches off the ground. This style is great for all ages and all the different uses.

It's a good idea to choose a chair that you can adjust allowing you to recline if you like or just put your feet up. This style of chair is most often seen in the loungers.

Beach chairs are available in several different materials. There is no right or wrong material. It is based entirely on your personal preferences. But let's compare them so you know what you're looking at.

Aluminum and wood are both common materials for building the chair frame and of course the both have advantageous and disadvantageous. You'll need to decide for yourself what you can or cannot live with.

Aluminum is nice and light which makes it great for packing around however it also gets “really" hot in the summer with the sun baking on it. Wood on the other hand is very durable and doesn't hold the heat like metal but it's heavier and harder to move around.

The frames can be covered in either plastic or fabric. Plastic is incredibly durable and withstands all the elements. It's also handy in the rain. Just wipe and it's ready to use. However it gets very ht in the sun.

Nylon was more common in the previous generation of chairs but it can still be found today. It is durable and it doesn't get hot although it does warm up.

Canvass is today's nylon. It's very popular because it's affordable and comfortable. It also doesn't heat up in the sun and you don't slide on it.

When it comes to beach chairs there are all kinds of fun styles on the market. What will you pick?
