Choosing The Best Hot Tub

Youve finally made the big decision to buy your own hot tub now choosing the best hot tub is your next concern. So what constitutes the best hot tub?

Well actually the answer to that question isnt really that difficult. The best hot tub is the quality spa that meets your personal needs at the budget youve determined.

All that said here are some things to help you choose the best tub for you. Start by asking yourself some questions. The answers will help determine what tub is best for you.

1. How often do you plan to use it?2. How many people will use it?3. How much space do you have for the installation?4. How big of a spa do you want?5. Do you want a lounge seat?6. How many jets do you want?7. Do you want an ozonator?8. Do you want a permanent or portable spa?9. What type of jets do you want?10. What material type are you interested in?

Now theres also some things you should know and understand to help you make a smart decision.

Lets start with understanding hydrotherapy also called water healing and used for hundreds of thousands of years back to ancient Roman times where the use of hot springs was common practice. Today you get these same benefits from your spa.

The warm water coming from the high pressure jets creates the perfect water healing experience massaging the body as the water is recirculated. But wait there are many different types of jets all which act differently so now would be a good time to understand those jet types.

The volcano jet is a large jet that you will find at the bottom of the tub. It aims the water upward which gives it the volcano effect, thus its name.

The whirlpool jet is also a large jet but it is found around the area where you sit. It creates the effect of rushing water near the tubs edge and you can generally maneuver both your body and the jet for a comfortable massaging effect.

This type of jet provides a huge amount of concentrated pressure on a small area but you can also divert the pressure to get a whirlpool effect which is excellent for sprains and strains.

The whirly jet produces two powerful streams of water in a very tight rotating form providing a strong circular massaging effect.

The ozone jet is very unique because it is actually part of the filter system. When you install an ozonator the ozone is automatically introduced to the water through the jets which help sanitize the tub causing a small stream of bubbles.

Adjustable jets are very important to ensure that you can easily adjust the pressure to a comfortable level and position. This gives you a very personal hydrotherapy experience.

Some spas have neck jets which are a combination of one jet on each side of the neck that can be adjusted around the neck and shoulders. The power massage jet rotates producing a large water stream through 7 separate nozzles for a very powerful massage.

Directional jets allow the nozzle to be moved in a variety of positions to adjust the stream of water to a comfortable position. Where as the swirl jet is a single jet the swirls the water in a circular motion providing a relaxing massage.

The pulsing jet has 2 nozzles that rotate to provide a massage motion that will relax the muscles. And if you go for the power dual then youll get twice the power from the rotating nozzles. Now thats impressive!

Next lets have a look at the anatomy of a hot tub. By knowing the definition of specific parts of the hot tub youll better understand what you read and hear. So are you ready?

1. Air Valves control the flow of the air that enters your hot tub.2. Control Panel is used to manage all the electronic functions of your tub.3. Filter Intake skims the water surface to remove any debris that is floating.4. Filter Cover Is the area where you access the filter to clean it.5. Lounge Seat allows you to stretch out just as you would in a furniture lounger chair. It is available in only some models.6. Pillow lets you rest your head comfortably.7. Light illuminates the water in the hot tub.8. Water Intake Valve sucks the water into the system and then sends it out through the jets.9. Power Massage Jet is part of the hydrotherapy experience.10. Seating Capacity is the number of people the hot tub is rated for.

The best hot tub on the market is the one that has all the features you want at the price you can afford. Its a quality tub thats built by a manufacturer that you know and trust. So which spa will it be?
