There are contemporary chairs for every room in your home. So where do we start? We'll let's have a look: 1. Living Room Let's start with the room that's often used the most. A contemporary living room can have many faces and so can the chair. Choose a big comfy chair with too much padding so that you sink into it or choose a modernistic chair that has straight lines and is made out of leather or even plastic. The type of chair you'd find at Ikea or Jysk. 2. Kitchen Modern chairs look fabulous in a kitchen. My favorite look is the tall table with the tall chairs. This is a very contemporary look that commands attention. Wood is the most common material choice for these contemporary kitchen chairs. You might also consider adding a couple of extra modernistic chairs to the room. 3. Bathroom You might be surprised to hear the suggestion that a chair needs to be added to the bathroom. Of course not all bathrooms are large enough but if yours is then adding a funky plastic chair is the perfect way to provide a place to hang your clothes or sit and do your nails. 4. Bedroom You can have a lot of fun with chairs in the bedroom. One of my favorite styles is the molded plastic chairs that have wonderfully soft lines and terrific bold colors. You can't help but notice them no matter how much you hide it. 5. Family Room If you have a family room this is one of the most fun rooms to add to the décor because it's always about “fun" so add some funky and fun chairs to the room. 6. Deck This might sound like an unusual place to find contemporary chairs but these days your outdoor space is really just an extension of the inside space. There are some fabulous deck furniture with some great lines that will add character to the modern contemporary room. A great deal of time and energy goes into creating the décor you want. And once you choose the theme for your home you need to ensure your furniture works with the décor style you've chosen.
