Couch Cushion - Tips for Repairing and Refreshing the Cushions on Your Couch
|
Brush the Cushions with a Brush First of all, you need to take each couch cushion and use a brush on it to help get rid of stains and dirt. You should use a brush that is soft bristled and you should brush the cushions quite lightly. The last thing you want to do is damage the cushions, so be very careful when you are doing this. Vacuum Thoroughly The next thing to do is to make sure that each couch cushion is vacuumed very thoroughly as well. This helps to get rid of any debris on the cushions and also helps to get rid of the dirt as well. You'll probably be quite amazing at how much dirt is inside your couch cushions. Remove Stains Removing the stains that are on the cushions of the couch is also very important. You want to get rid of the stains and you can do so with a rag and some good upholstery cleaner as well. Usually this will take any stains out that need to come out. This will definitely make your cushions look and smell a whole lot better. Fix Any Holes If there are any holes in a couch cushion, make sure that you fix the holes up. Use a needle and some thread, and sew up the tears. However, holes can be repaired with patches that you can simply iron on. If you find that there is a zipper on the pillow, then you'll find that it's easier to put your hand inside there to help make your job a whole lot easier. Consider Adding New Foam if You Need To Sometimes a couch cushion will get very lumpy or it won't offer any support when you are sitting on it anymore. If this occurs, then you should consider adding some new foam. You can easily and cheaply purchase some new foam padding and you can replace the foam that is in the cushion with the new foam. This way you'll feel more comfortable when you are sitting on the couch cushions. About The Author: |
