Diaphragm Singing Can Help You Achieve A Great Singing Voice
|
In diaphragm singing, using the muscles is important. Why? It is because breathing out air is like singing without the sound. The person performing the action is the one that creates the sound. Now, do this test to try diaphragm singing. First, while trying to sing, inhale and then exhale. Next, again while tying to sing, inhale and then exhale really slowly. After the two exercises, you will notice that there's a huge difference between the two. This is because exhaling too quickly expels air as well, therefore there will be less air for you to use necessary for proper diaphragm singing and hitting the notes. Keep in mind that when doing the exercises for breathing, just begin to add your sound of singing while breathing out, after you have pushed the stomach out when breathing in. This will result to a richer, stronger and clearer sound to your singing voice because you are expanded your lungs and rib cage when you do diaphragm singing. Now, if not done correctly, there would be too much pressure on your diaphragm which will cause your singing voice to sound tight. Just think of it as how you let air out of a balloon, a little at a time. Yawning or opening the throat is one way to help you with your diaphragm singing. This is because the tightness of the throat is lessened, if not eliminated. Your voice may sound pitchy if your throat is not open when you are singing. There are many talented singers that still commit this mistake. They, of course, can correct this by proper vocal training. By strengthening your voice with correct breathing exercises, you'll definitely learn how to control your diaphragm. The key is to never blow out air too fast when you start to add your sound when singing. In this way, you'll not cause much pressure that may damage your vocal chords. Just like any exercise, going the slow route reaps the greatest rewards and the best singing voice. There are websites on the Internet which teach vocal strengthening exercises as well as speech level singing, for a vibrant, beautiful, singing voice.
