For some reason it seems that over the last 15 years television shows have been able to get away with a lot more than the should be able to. Now they can have gruesome violence, minor profanity, and vulgar words, suggestions and even some of the vilest scenes included in their shows. Even the channel arrangements are horrible. I recall watching TV one night, probably around 8 o' clock, and I started surfing through channels. I passed the ever popular kids channel, Cartoon Network, and then following that, right on the next channel was an infomercial channels selling adult sex toys! How is that possible! If my children where to change the channel from their kids shows to the next channel and stopped they would be exposed to things that they should not even know about for years to come! Yet, with the TV channel arrangement being something that we parents can not control makes it hard to know that your children are safe from those types of channels. Well now with today's technology we can have to control over the channels and DirecTV makes it possible! DirecTV supports all us parents out there and has made it possible for us to have a great way to control and filter the channels that appear when our little ones are watching their favorite cartoons. With the DVR and TiVo you can setup a whole section of television dedicated to you children. You can set passwords so that your children can not access the channels that are no good for them. The filter will make sure that such channels as South Park, Adult Swim, and other such channels can not been seen when you are in "kid mode" on your television. With these filtering ability you can turn on and off "kid mode" whenever you want. You will not have to worry about leaving your children in the other room watching TV while you do some cleaning any more! Just set the television to your children's settings and only their shows will be seen when the little one surf the channels.
