Dish Network Satellite Descrambler - Having One Of Your Own

Satellite TV offers you many programs to watch, but basically, there are two types of TV channels that can be transmitted to your house and to your TV set. Some are free to air, while the rest are considered premium channels and they cannot be viewed without having them descrambled. In order to understand how this works, here is a short explanation.

So this is how the images from satellites get to be viewed on the screen of your TV. Signals are transmitted as electromagnetic waves by satellites orbiting around the planet. These waves are captured and transmitted through a cable until they reach the receiver installed near your TV. The receiver is the device that translated the electromagnetic waves into images and sound. The channels that are free to view do not need to be descrambled, but the premium channels need a descrambler so they can be viewed.

Such devices are owned by dish network companies and they get money for letting their customers watch the premium channels. They are the ones that encrypt the signals emitted by the premium channels and what they actually do is to sell customers the codes for descrambling the signals. They can make quite a deal of money from charging fees for viewing premium channels. So, they are the ones that have the descrambling devices. What can you do?

When you pay a fee to your local operator, you will receive a special signal on the TV that permits you to see the channels that require a pay per view or a subscription fee. You can access the programs and watch them as you like, as long as you pay the fees on time. The companies make good money from people like you and you may have wondered how it would be to have your own device to translate the signal coming from the satellites.

You can have a personal descrambler at home, but the fact is that you need to tell the operator that gives you signal to the TV that you are the owner of such a device. You must know that you will be taxed for watching encrypted programs, so, in the end, it is not for free. Even if you have the descrambler, you still need to descramble the signals transmitted by satellites which is not such an easy job as you may think. You may try but you will end up spending a lot of your time for nothing. It is better to pay for them and watch the programs without any additional headache.
