Dish Network VS Direct TV: Do We Have A Winner?

Choosing a satellite television company should not be that hard, as there are only two of them operating in the US. Their names are Dish Network and Direct TV. A fierce competition for gaining more customers is underway, so an analysis of the battle Dish Network vs Direct TV is something that we just need to do. Is one really better than the other? And if yes, how?

Let's see first how many channels and what type of channels the two companies offer.

Each service has its offerings. Against a fee of $40 a month, Dish Network offers its customers 100 top channels along with the local channels. If you want to receive service from Direct TV, you will get, for about the same price, 140 top channels, and 50 XM radio channels, in the same offer. Local channels are also included with the price.

As you can see, the price is the same, but the offerings are different, and these are the main aspects that you want to consider when you choose a satellite provider.

The said price is for the monthly subscription, but there is also the price of the components that you want to consider when you make a comparison.

Components are usually provided free of charge, if you agree to sign a contract for a certain duration. Otherwise, the cost of renting those can reach the cost of the monthly fee or it can be even higher.

The terms of the contract that you are going to sign with the provider are very important, so make sure to read them carefully before taking the next step.

Both companies offer reliable customer support, non stop, on any day of the week, at any hour. This means that whenever you want to use the customer line, you will find someone available at the other end.

But, to get things straight, we must say that Dish Network is considered to be number one, while Direct TV is a very close second. All these are just reasons for them to get better and provide better services to the customers.

Direct TV tries to compensate and it really succeeds by offering its viewers greater sports viewing abilities. Customers need to pay extra for such services, but their quality compensates for the additional cost.

The satellite company offers NASCAR, NBA, NFL, and other views like major league baseball, hockey and other sports. For the sports fan, Direct TV would be the right choice as a satellite service provider.

Price is one thing to take into consideration, but what channels you are interesting in watching is a matter of equal importance. As said earlier, if you like sports, then you know very well which is your perfect choice.

This is all that matters when you come down to make a comparison: the price, and what you pay for.
