There are all kinds of great products for your lawn that you can find in your home. They have no chemicals, no bad side effects, and some of these secrets might surprise you. Sometimes they work great on their own other times you can combine them with products on the market. Let's start with taking care of the weeds in your lawn. First of all you'll have the most success killing weed is you deal with it as the weather starts to cool for the day. Take your child's shampoo or a mild dish soap and add to your hose sprayer along with your weed killer. It should emit 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Follow the directions for the weed killer and then add a tablespoon of shampoo. Spot treat. Don' spray your entire your. Shake regularly to make sure the weed killer stays mixed. Mix your dry fertilizer with four pounds of Epsom salts and a pound of confectioner's sugar. The Epsom salts makes the lawn green, and the sugar gives the plants energy. Watering is the next step in making that lawn look great. Now here's the real secret! Beer! Take one can of beer, a cup of children's shampoo, a half cup of molasses, and dissolve it all in a half cup of warm water, then top with ammonia. The beer help the thatch compost much faster, the shampoo helps break down the soil surface, the sugars are more energy for the grass. Every four weeks pour this mixture into your sprayer and spay your lawn. You should also a heavy treatment in the fall to prepare your lawn for winter. Water in the evening and water for at least 45 minutes so that everything gets thoroughly soaked. The deeper the water gets the better for the roots of the grass. A couple of things you should know. Pouring the beer into the soap is going to cause lots of bubbles so do it over the lawn. And after you apply your lawn is going to be slippery for some time. Mow your grass in the evening. Then add another quart of water and boil again add 5 ounces of flea and tick shampoo and a pinch of chewing tobacco. . Filter out the leaves and then mix one part of the lye solution, one part of the tobacco solution, and one part of a mouthwash. Mix one tablespoon to a gallon of water.
