Dreamweaver Or Visual Studio: Which Fits Your Needs The Best?
|
There is nothing wrong with Microsoft and this is not a cheap shot at the Microsoft Company. However, anyone that has run other programs knows that Microsoft products work so much better other software and hardware in the Microsoft family. Those people in the graphic industry tend to lean toward Apple products, so if you might want to consider this before going any further. It would make sense to have a program that works well across any platform. Some of the high points of Microsoft's Visual Studio are that it allows for total control of the server control and other ajax control through a drop and drag interface. And all server controls are displayed on an easy to navigate properties panel. For those that are starting out or not totally sure of what they are doing, Visual Studio comes with tons of tutorials and examples that are easy to follow and understand. Visual Studio is an awesome program that has everything that anyone would need for web applications, window applications and console applications. It has been said that Microsoft's Visual Studio is more geared toward web development than web design. This might be the key issue of the whole debate of which program is better. The one of the main focuses for the Dreamweaver program was that it is meant to be used with several different people working on the same team project. The programmers made sure that project sharing would not be a headache for you and your team. Any computer language that you may use will effortlessly communicate with Adobe's Dreamweaver. Interacting with java script is not an issue with the extensions that are already built into the program. Actually there are an additional 1299 extensions that you will find for just about anything you may need. Most Adobe products have some very basic and recognizable features that users are comfortable with and Dreamweaver is not any different. The layers and tables are here to help you easily create your web structure. No need to worry about database connectivity because the program comes with the tools to make this possible. Visual Studio is a little more expensive than Dreamweaver. However, the extensions for Dreamweaver will cost you extra. Adobe's products tend to be rather large when it comes to file size, so be sure that you have more than the minimal system requirements, unless you want your system to crawl. In actuality, comparing these two programs to each other may be like comparing apples to oranges. If you are web developer than you will probably find Visual Studio more to your liking. And if you are a web designer than you will probably be more comfortable with Dreamweaver. Both program can be used interchangeably but why get a hammer if you what you really need is a screwdriver?
