Dry Skin Patches - 3 Possible Problems
|
Problem #1 - Psoriasis - One of the more serious problems that can end up causing you to start having dry skin patches on the body is psoriasis. This is definitely a skin problem that you don't want to deal with. There is not a cure for this problem and it can also end up being quite painful for people that have it as well. You'll find that there are different types of psoriasis out there, but to figure out what kind of psoriasis you have, you'll need to have a doctor take a look at your condition. The two types of psoriasis that you can have include erythrodermic and inverse psoriasis. Hopefully this will not be the problem that you are dealing with. Problem #2 - Pitted Keratolysis - Another possible skin problem that can may cause you to deal with dry skin patches is pitted keratolysis. However, with this type of a skin problem, you'll find that usually the patches of dry skin only end up showing up on the feet. In fact, when this skin problem occurs, you'll also notice that the soles of your feed start to appear differently and they have a bad odor as well. This problem is more likely to occur during times when the weather is warm and you deal with sweaty feet. Problem #3 - Dermatitis or Eczema - Last of all, dry skin patches may be a sign that you have dermatitis or eczema as well, which really are not problems that are too serious. Often these problems occur when you are exposed to something that causes irritation or an allergic reaction on the skin. However, you will find that the skin is quite itchy with this problem, which can really be frustrating to you. Out of the three skin problems, this is probably the least problematic one, although it can be difficult to deal with because of the itching. About The Author: |
