Entrepreneur Vs Employee

The word has been so overused in this world of online marketing. Each time you turn around, you see "Be my boss" or something to that effect in your inbox. What does the word Businessman mean to me? Well, the net compendium definition of entrepreneur is somebody who organizes, operates and assumes the risk of a business. Wow! Risk, I suppose so, but well worth the reward. I decided when I was a tiny girl that I would have liked to be an Businessman one day. He started out in his early 20's installing floors, extremely tough work. He and his partner soon opened the doors to their own dream, Northway Floors. He shook each of their hands, knew the spouses' names and naturally the youngsters. One Saturday, when I went to his "store" to earn some money working for Father , I was blown away watching him. I always knew that I did not desire an "employer" telling me how much I would make, the hours I would work or what wear. Although I did do that for eleven years as a Catering Manager (wedding planner) for a high end resort, I was repeatedly trying to find the ideal opportunity for myself. I worked virtually as many hours in one week as most do in two. My home was a mess as were all of my private relations. Then Fri. would roll around and I would see my paycheck. The joy definitely wasn't there. So often, in my mind's eye, I might see my Daddy's face beaming, and the will to be my own chairperson would fire up within me again. I am at my best when I am talking with one of my clients, sharing my experiences, knowledge and non secular revelations that my Mom instilled in me. When I hear a customer getting worked up about moving forward with their business, connecting with me, appreciating what I say, I then FEEL what I SAW on my Daddy's face. I also have a dream to one day open an animal shelter for dogs and pussies that have no home. These are the things you can do with your daily life when you are an Entrepreneur.
