A lot of blogs and sites nowadays are using advertisers to make money. And one of the most popular pay per click site and the first to implement target advertising is Google Adsense. There are a couple of tips that can help you maximize your earnings with Adsense. These are not hard tips, even a caveman can do. Try out the following tips and see your earnings increase. Of course you need time for this and it does not usually happen overnight so the greatest tip is to be patient and always experiment and check wich one works best for you. Here are some tips to maximize your Google Adsense earnings. 1) Stick to one topic per page. Most blogs do have multiple topics per page. Make sur to adjust your blog settings to show just one article per page. This is very useful since Adsense targets keywords on that particular page to base the advertisements that it will show. If you have too much articles in one page, Adsense may become confuse and just post ads that are not relevant to your content. 2) Plain bland pages with few competing links result in higher click through rates. If you check on your Adsense account, you'll see that there is a column there which says CTR. You would want this to be a high percentage. This way you'll earn a lot more per click. 3) Target high priced keywords. Use them in the filenames, in the heading on the page and in the first paragraph. Just make sure you do not over stuff your paragraphs with the keywords or else Adsense may mistake your blog for a spam blog or site. This is not good as Google may not index your site in its search engine. 4) Use skyscraper ads. When you choose the type or size of ad to place on your site, the skyscraper works pretty well on the sides of your blog or site. Make sure that these are placed towards the upper part so that it can seen by your visitors without srolling down. This is the perfect place to put your ads. This is because they are easily seen. 5) Bold your keywords. This can help Adsense to target the keywords that you wish for ads to be shown. 6) Google loves rich content so make sure you update your blogs or sites with content regularly. At most, 20 pages is the minimum. You can find article directories to get your content. These sites offer thousands of articles which can help you if you run out of ideas to write on. 7) Get great links pointing to your site. This will equal to a higher page rank. When Google crwals or checks those other sites that you have your site links on, Google will assume that your site is an important one and will most likely index you. This means your site will be searchable in Google in no time. This will also help drive traffic to your site and not just traffic but targetted traffic. It means people that end up in your site are people who really wanted to be there. There are a couple of resources on the net to get you started with making money through adsense.
