Fal Scope Mount

Whether you are considering a FAL rifle, scope, or Fal scope mount you can count on a quality product. In fact the FAL rifle is one of the most common battle rifles ever and it is has certainly proven itself on the battlefield.

The FAL G1 rifle was commonly used by both the Dutch and the Austrians. The scope features a sheet metal hand guard, a flash hider, grenade launcher, and a bipod. The biggest problem with the FAL scope is it's inability to hold zero which is a result of the optics used. The thin receiver twists during firing which does not provide optimum conditions. That's why this scope is generally suggested for very experienced shooters.

The FAL light automatic rifle is one of the most widely used military rifles this season. By the way FAL stands for Fusil Automatique Leger. It was manufactured in more than 10 countries and used in more than 75 countries.

Today it has more or less gone by the way side but it is still used in some countries. Brazil is the only country left producing the FAL rifles and it is under the LAR name. Up until the 1950s the USA produced some FAL's for the military.

Today most of these rifles can be found on the market for civilian use. The FN-FAL is probably the most popular of the rifles as it is gas operated and semi automatic as well as magazine fed. It has a short piston stroke with the gas piston above the barrel. Once fired the gas piston makes a quick tap and then returns back to its position.

And of course if the rifles are in short supply then the scopes and scope mounts also are. But that's not to say they aren't around and available. You just need to know where to hunt. Start with sights like eBay or sites that deal in vintage guns and gun accessories.

There is no question that FAL has a long rich history not just in North America but around the world. And today they are still used in some underdeveloped countries so they are by no means extinct.

Finding a FAL scope mount may take you awhile but it is certainly doable. And online is your best option.
