Falcon Gas Grills: Turn Your Backyard into an Outdoor Smokehouse
|
The first thing we did was decide on deck addition plans. Originally the deck only covered the side portion of the house, so we need to add on quite a bit to the back, as well as decide just how the two portions would be joined together. We decided on a very unique, curving wood deck portion that connected the side area to the back area with a nice rounded corner section. This is also where we put in the new Falcon gas grill and other cooking station accoutrements. Next we decided to stain the wood. The new deck wood was the same type, but had a very different color to it than the older sections had. We decided that staining the wood a slightly darker color would help tie the old and new deck segments together. This meant that the old section would have to be stripped. But, in all honesty, it was simpler than all that. Being that the deck had not been touched up in years, the finish was nearly completely worn away. This meant that all we had to do was sand the slats and go on to apply the stain. We chose a nice darker golden, rosy hue and applied it to both the old and new wood of the deck. After the deck had been stained and allowed to dry, we then applied a thorough coating of weatherproof sealant to protect from water damage. The new deck looked simply fantastic, and the cooking station and new eating area was just begging for a new gas grill to complete the addition. The new section nof deck stretching along the back wall included built-in tables and chairs, as well as a sitting area for more comfortable sitting and conversation. We ended up finding a good selection of Falcon gas grills online. Though we found many sales websites on the net, we ended up opting for a good deal from a reputable seller on eBay. The great thing about eBay is that you can search for sellers based on their location. I was able to find a seller here in Toronto and was able to pick up the item, thus avoiding the charges. I'm so happy with my Falcon gas grill that I recommend it to others. Though there's nothing particularly fancy about the Falcon line of grills, I have to say that they sure do seem to last longer than other comparable gas grills. I've had a couple of them now and they don't seem to show sear and tear as quickly as other brands. About The Author: Myrna Hora is the Editor and Publisher of Article Click.
