Fall Wedding Flowers That Save Money

There are a many beautiful warm color tone choices of flowers for fall weddings. Fall is the changing season where the bright green leaves begin to turn to deep golds and reds, making wonderful backdrops for any celebration and especially a fall wedding. Fall seems to be one of the most popular times of the year for couples to join their lives. However, during fall there are certain flowers and plants that are in season and steering off of the in season path could cost you.

Before planning your fall wedding, educate yourself on the flowers that are in season and way to help you cut costs. The fall season allows for beautiful deep colored flower choices and even some great plants that are blooming. No matter if you plan to tackle the task of flowers yourself or working with a florist, knowing what flowers are in season can save you a lot of cash.

Fall arrangements have abundant of colors and can consist of a varieties of flowers that are in season. A few on my favorites that can save some money are Sunflowers, Gerber Daisies, Mums, Black-eye Susans, Chrysanthemums, Dahlia, and Gladiolas. Several of these flowers have larger stems and blooms, and could be used as a single stemmed bouquet to save money, but not take away from the look.

Sunflowers and Gerber Daisies are two of my favorite flowers to use in fall weddings and can set the stage for a beautiful ceremony, without spending big bucks on flowers. They can be used in single stems or throughout a bouquet. Another beautiful inexpensive option for fall wedding flowers are mums which could be used in bouquets or as potted plants scattered around your reception or throughout your wedding venue. They are available in several deep color tones including red, gold and green.

Fall flower choices are mostly found in deep color tones, but if you would like to add some lighter tones, you could add a few to your bouquets along with those in season and still save money. What flowers are available varies by region and climates, so make sure you check to see what flowers would help you save your budget and still achieve the look you want.

While there are many flowers available year round there are some that are more affordable than others. Roses are one of the most loved flowers for all occasions and come in almost every color. However, there are other choices such as Carnations, Lilies, Eucalyptus, Gardenia, Heather, Orchids, Portea, Scabiosa, and Delphinium. Lilies, especially the popular Calla Lily are more expensive than other choices, so keep this in mind when choosing your flowers.

The autumn season offers several varieties of changing colors of leaves that offer great options for arrangement fillers and table arrangements. Magnolia leaves arranged in the center of tables are always a gorgeous option. You could add pillar candles and decorative ribbon for an extra affect. Another idea for extra color is to incorporate pepper stems into your arrangements.

Changing from the hot summer months to the cool breezy season of fall is one of my favorite times of the year. With the beautiful backdrop of autumn leaves, fall seems to be a popular time for weddings. Even though flowers are usually one of the largest expenses of a wedding, you can save money by choosing those that are in season. Don't throw your money away by flying flowers in. You can achieve the same look with flowers that are in season for fall along with fillers that are available year round.
