Fear of God In The Heart - Sure Way To Have God's Blessing

Nearly everyone has been afraid at some time. Some people are afraid of drive-by shooting or bombs of war. Others are afraid of being alone. Some have a fear of heights and others are afraid of the dark. In many cases the fear can be so strong that any positive action is hindered. The fear of God in our life will never deny us of his goodness So, can fear ever be good? A fear of burns will make a person cautious around an open fire. Fear will cause a person to drive more slowly on dangerous road. Such fears can help promote safety and preserve life. In the same way the fear of God will keep us away from his wrath. God's word says, “Fear God, and keep his commandment for this is the whole duty of man.(Ecclesiastes12:13). What does the writer mean when he says to fear God? Does he mean people should cower before Him? No, rather, the exhortation means we should have enough respect for God and His perfect justice to do what He instructs, thereby promoting eternal safety and preserving the soul. The bible is clear when it states “the soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezekiel 18:20). The only way to avoid that death is to repent and receive forgiveness for the sins committed. Heaven or hell will be the destiny of every soul and eternity will last forever. People today need to have the fear of God in their heart to fear eternal death enough to prepare for eternal life. The wise person considers what it will mean to stand before God and will ask for God's help in ordering his life so that it pleases him. What will be the result of living that way? One result is that a respectful fear of God remains, but the abject fear is gone because there is knowledge that your life is being lived as he directs. There is no fear of judgment because your sins are forgiven. “Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to the judgment; and some men they follow after" (I Timothy 5:24). What relief to know that all is clear between you and God! The lord is seeking for men and women who will respect Him enough to live their live according to His plan. And He stands ready to help any who truly wants to do so. Commit your life to God completely and find freedom from fear and the peace that comes from being one of his with the fear of God in our heart.
