After all flannel has bee popular for many years. From flannel pajamas to flannel sheets we've just turned things up a little bit. A flannel comforter has the warmth of a comforter an the benefits of a flannel shell which is not only cozy it also has a warmth factor. Flannel is snuggly! And there are so many great choices! Arts and Crafts styles are very popular this season but you can also choose from something fun like a sunflower or gingham pattern. The options are pretty endless. Or if your on a little bit of a budget why not go for down and feather with a flannel shell? Now that's comfort and coziness all in one. A down comforter is available with a variety of different fill levels. The higher the fill level the thicker the comforter and the higher the warmth rating and the quality of the comforter. So if you live where it gets real cold and you like to turn the furnace down at night you should look for a higher fill rating. But if you live in a warmer climate you can choose a flannel cover with a lower fill rating so that you get a nice light comforter that will keep you cozy but not overheat you. You can relax after a tired day with your comforter. You don't have to be stuck with solid colors; instead you can choose from a great selection of mixed colors and great patterns. And who says flannel can't be trendy? Choose from some of the every popular patterns for this season and you'll have your bedroom look fabulous in no time. Duck and geese are both down options. Duck is much cheaper and geese is much more comfortable. There are also comforters that use feathers which bulk up the comforter and do add to the overall warmth although they are not overly effective. Siberian Geese is one of the most popular choices because it is the heaviest and the fluffiest and so it is perfect for snuggling in. Eider down is another very plush and popular down but for either of these be ready to get the checkbook out. When washing your flannel comforter be sure to follow the directions provided. Some may be machine washable but dry cleaning is always a good option for down because it ensure you don't get bunching. If you have a polyester fill then you should be able to wash it with little trouble. Flannel comforters are a great choice for guest rooms, children's rooms, and even for master bedrooms.
