Flashback 70s Beaded Curtains

They say fashion and decor go full circle about every 35 years and thats exactly what we are seeing today with the latest in beaded curtains. They are simply a knock out but are they a flashback to the 70s or this seasons modern decor.

You would have no problem finding supporters on both sides of the debate but at the end of the day it doesnt really matter. What does matter is that these fabulous curtains are a great addition to many a room.

Now dont close your mind too soon here. I know what your thinking. What good is a beaded curtains. Well these really arent at all about privacy but rather about fashion or decor.

They work perfect on a hall entrance, on a backdoor thats high off the ground where privacy may not be an issue such as on a second or third floor. They even look fabulous as a decorative piece on a front door.

In fact when you see these great pieces on the front door of a house you almost expect Cheech and Chong or the group from Waynes Worlds to come stumbling out.

Heres my personal favorite for these curtains. They look fantastic on the entrance to an office. Then to finish the touch all one needs is a couple of lava lamps. Yes they are back in style too. A black light and some black light posters. If you are really into creating the mood light up a couple of incense. Bet thats not what you thought I was going to say. Oh yes and dont forget about the orange spaghetti swag light!

These curtains are available in several colors and sizes other than a standard door size. Choose from blue, red, pink, yellow, and green and there is even a multi-color version being marketed by one company.

On the lower priced style the beads are plastic but as you get into the higher priced ones the beads are either glass or pottery and you get a lot of different types of beads to choose from.

These are really a fun and affordable decor item. And when you get tired of it you can quickly and easily take them down until the urge strikes again and you can put them back up in no time at all.

They also work great on a window over Venetian blinds. They just give the window a retro look

Todays fashion or the fashions of the 70s call it what you like but whats for certain is the fact that this is an era that was really a lot of fun. It was a laid back time that was not reflected in the vibrant colors and patterns of the era. It was a time of individuality and a time where anything went.

Well guess what weve arrived back there so be sure to enjoy it for it wont last forever. Have some fun with your decor and dont forget the beaded curtains. For some of us its a great trip down memory lane.
