Four Uses for A Bistro Table with Umbrella

Think there's only one way to use a bistro table with an umbrella attached? Au contraire! There are actually a few different ways that you can make the most of this item. Here, we'll examine five of them, from the basic to the wacky!

1. On your porch or deckThis is the most traditional way of using a bistro table with umbrella, it's true. However, it still makes a big splash during the summertime and sunny spring and autumn days. It's the perfect place to play a deck of cards, enjoy a light breakfast or gourmet dinner, or just sit and relax. Get one that's color-coordinated with your outdoor furniture, and it'll also be a handsome piece to show off. (There are even some very high-end bistro tables with umbrellas made from everything from wood to stone; choose yours based on your price range and design preferences.)

2. Inside a eat-in kitchenConventional wisdom says not to have open umbrellas indoors, but who cares about convention? During the winter months (or even all year round), there's no harm in spicing up your kitchen by having a bistro table with an umbrella. Imagine what a cute conversation piece it could be, sitting in the middle of your spacious dining area. You'll feel like you're eating supper outside, even when it's snowing and windy out of doors. Plus, it's just creates a fun atmosphere that will cheer up the inside of your home. Finally, it's a terrific way to store your outdoor bistro table with umbrella until the warmer weather returns and you can move it back to its home.

3. In a kids play areaDo you have a basement or playroom for your kids? Why not put your bistro table with umbrella there? It's the perfect spot for little ones to draw on or eat a nutritious lunch of crackers, cheese, and ham. As they get older, they can even do their homework while sitting there, and it'll look a lot more interesting than a standard square table. Remember that children adore anything whimsical, and what could create more whimsy than a nontraditional approach? Put the bistro table and umbrella in your ruckus room and suddenly all your kids' friends will be telling their parents, Hey! Why aren't you guys cool, too?

4. In an officeNo, you don't want to put out bistro tables with umbrellas instead of cubbies, but you can put bistro tables in the break room. Again, it's just to add an air of ambiance to an otherwise bleak place filled with a dirty microwave and vending machines. Plus, it'll show prospective employees that although you're all hard workers, it's not always all business at your firm.

If you didn't realize all you could do with a simple bistro table and umbrella, you're not alone. But next time you think, I can't figure out how I'd use such a thing and I don't have a deck or backyard area, think again. You just might be able to do more than you ever thought possible with a plain old bistro table and umbrella!
