French twist hair works beautifully as a formal hairstyle, but can be fashioned more casually for work or a day of shopping.

If you have medium length to long hair, you can and probably should learn how to do your own French twist hair. In a pinch, it can take a bad hair day and make it into a good hair day. For a job interview, it can be just the right touch for a businesslike but friendly look. For a night at the opera it can flow seamlessly with the elegance of your entire outfit. The basic French twist hair style is where the hair is brushed back away from the face and forehead. There are many ways to accessorize French twist hair, and this can be one of the more fun aspects of wearing this hairstyle. When wearing it for a casual event you can adorn it with whimsical things such as flower or butterfly pins. For more formal occasions, an elegant jeweled pin or clip can add just the right touch. Ribbons can even be wound through the twist, although this would most certainly mean that you would need help. Whether or not you learn to do at least the basic French twist yourself, it is good to know that you can always count on it to make your hair look beautiful.
